Guess who just found yet another super cool stylist? Yep. She’s from Stockholm nonetheless (what’s in their water? Seriously!). Cue: Tina Hellberg<\/a>, a talented professional that designs, builds, and styles her own sets. I mean, as if styling props alone is not enough, she does it all!<\/p>\n

\"Style<\/p>\n

\"Style<\/p>\n

I am totally going gaga over her portfolio; Tina Hellberg has a crazy body of work that is everything but boring or predictable; be it seasonal decor, colourful furniture or conceptual vignettes, she can do it all. Jealous? A bit..or a lot!! What I love the most about her work is all the nature she incorporates into almost every scene; it totally adds a layer of liveliness to the look. I think we can definitely take this concept and bring it to our own spaces to make them more cheerful.<\/p>\n

\"Style<\/p>\n

In my opinion plants are still underrated, I know there’s been a rise in Pinterest of plants in interiors, but in reality people don’t seem to get the most of out them. In the examples above and below you can see that a little bit of greenery goes a long way. Oh, and if you’re a plant killer like myself, it’s all about practice! This month I managed to only kill one plant haha, all others are still alive and well and actually growing! Woop.<\/p>\n

Another key takeaway from Tina’s style is that she mostly uses neutral planters or vases, which makes them fit in the room without competing with other patterns or textures. A good rule of thumb is to either use a neutral (something in an earthy tone) or a complementary colour so that it doesn’t clash with the rest of your decor, though a subtle pattern can definitely add a little somethin’ somethin’. Last year we ceramics making a huge comeback, and I think that trend will continue to invade our Pinterest feed. Ceramics are also a great option for planters as the clay itself can be speckled which adds a nice layer of texture while still being neutral.<\/p>\n

I could keep talking about all these rooms for days, but I gotta get back to watch the a few reruns of the X-Files because the new season is about to come out and I’m a nerd like that.<\/p>\n
